We not only provide them with top-notch web design services, we are regularly our clients’ go-to for business strategy and marketing planning. We are based in Portland, Oregon, but have a 100% remote team and no central office.

If the idea of design sprints and live editing with clients excites you, please consider applying for this role! Additionally, working in collaboration with our CEO, you may be asked to create templates, assets, and wordmarks for use in future client design sprints.

When you are not working on our clients’ websites, we’d love to have you pitch in and assist in creating fabulous digital content for us! That’s why we’d love it if you have a passion for marketing and creating media for use in our company promotional campaigns.

Hours: 10-20/hours per week, project based to start, with the opportunity to grow the role in the future

Important: You must have access to a reliable high speed internet connection (not a coffee shop), have a quiet place for Zoom calls (though we get that life happens and our own pets do make an occasional appearance on Zoom), and have a reliable dedicated work computer that’s not shared with others, due to the importance of client confidentiality. We are a 100% remote, Apple environment.

You should know: All of us at SM&Co support all types of diversity including ethnicity, race, gender, LQBTQ+, age, religion and abilities, and believe in the importance of science in our lives.

This is a contract, 1099 position to start, but we’d love for the right candidate to grow with us into a part- or full-time team member. Because of this, we’re currently only accepting applications from candidates authorized to work in the United States. While this is a remote position, if you are located in the Portland, Oregon area, let us know!

How to Apply

To apply for this role, please submit an application here, including a resume. No cover letter is necessary (we know no one likes writing those). Within ten days, we will communicate one of the following:

  1. A request for more information to move the application to the next stage;
  2. A thank you for your interest, but a decline to move forward at this time; or
  3. We may ask to hold onto your application for a potential future role that would be a better fit for you.

Once the role has been filled, we will contact all applicants (we won’t leave you hanging—promise) about their application status.
