Our team, both employees and freelancers, follow established processes, and flag opportunities for improvement and creating further efficiencies. We are NOT looking for an agency partner.

Requirements:

• SEO savvy (aka you understand how to use keywords that are provided to you)
• Able to follow our framework for content development
• Collaborative and open to feedback
• Confident in capturing client voice based on existing content/documents
• Experience in writing 600 – 2,000 word articles 
• Experience writing and refining website copy
• Able to occasionally, with advance notice, meet with SM&Co during regular business hours (10am-5pm Pacific. M-F)
• Committed to meeting deadlines and communicating challenges in making progress (it happens to everyone!)
• Able to use our project management system to update progress (Notion—we’ll show you how to use it)
• Able to join our Slack for communication
• Experience in successfully self-editing/proofreading
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality

Not required, but awesome to have:

• Confidence in both US and British/Australian English writing standards (US required)
• Experience in repurposing content (both short-form to long-form and long-form to short-form)
• Experience with Squarespace and/or WordPress

You should know: 

• 1099 role paid via our system
• Remote role

SM&Co has immediate availability for contract graphic design assistance. This is a contract role with the possibility for growth. Please read our core values page and get to know us prior to reaching out. 

You will follow an established process for this design work, and flag opportunities for improvement and creating further efficiencies. If the idea of  live editing with clients, creative collaboration, and a supportive team excites you, please consider applying! Additionally, working in collaboration with our CEO and Program Manager, you may be asked to create templates, assets, and wordmarks for use in future client projects. 

When you are not working on our clients’ websites and marketing campaigns, we’d love to have you pitch in and assist in creating fabulous digital content for us! That’s why we’d love it if you have a passion for marketing and creating media for use in our company promotional campaigns.
