Made by Mike King Featured on Design Milk

On Design Milk today, Luis Gonzalez, a designer with Squarespace gave a nice shout-out to my client Mike King’s website, Made by Mike King, in a piece about portfolio websites.

This is one of my favorite projects I’ve worked on because 1) it just looks so “Mike,” and 2) we did this project in a day–sticking to just the essentials Mike needed for his portfolio site. Mike already had an extensive representation of his work on his Crash America shop (also one of my designs), so this site needed to simply showcase his absolute best work. We added in the funky typography that Mike loves, when with a bold black and yellow color scheme, a unique CSS effect on the gallery images, and it all came together as a fun and different site.
